Nick Donaldson is a Director of Handler Property, establishing the Sydney office and leading the company’s growth and expansion strategy across the NSW and ACT markets.

With over 15 years’ experience in retail leasing, Nick commenced his career in Perth before relocating to Sydney where he joined Ipoh, owner of a number of Sydney’s most iconic retail shopping centres. At Ipoh, he spearheaded the leasing of a number of these assets, including The QVB, The Galleries, Strand Arcade, and Chifley Plaza. Managing these prestigious, high-traffic locations refined his expertise in luxury retail environments, local and international retailer negotiations as well as creating customer focused tenant precincts.

 

Nick was then recruited to Charter Hall, where for 11 years lead the leasing on all east coast retail assets gaining exposure to QLD, ACT and Victorian markets. In this time working for both the CQR and Wholesale funds, Nick furthered his understanding of retail investment, valuations, acquisition and divestment of assets, asset remixing, retail development and market dynamics.

 

He holds both a Bachelor Arts as well as Real Estate License in New South Wales.

 

Most recently, as Head of Leasing at Arkadia, Nick managed a private portfolio of large format retail, high street retail, office, and shopping centres. His strong stakeholder relationships and strategic approach have consistently delivered outstanding results in the retail sector.
