John Postle is a director of Handler Property’s Asset Management division.

John commenced his retail industry career in shopping centre management at Carindale Regional Shopping Centre in 1987 and was a key lead in the major refurbishment and expansion that followed.

After accumulating years of experience in other major centre roles and developments in Queensland and New South Wales, John held senior appointments at Blackstone, QIC and Stockland owned assets, finally becoming Queensland’s Head of Retail at JLL by 1999.

After taking a break from the industry to pursue business interests in the boating industry, John was lured overseas and delivered major retail projects in Asia for Las Vegas Sands Corporation, including the iconic Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

John believes that the best asset management solutions can be valued differently to suit each client.

Solutions can be simple or complex, however, understanding the real needs of every asset/owner is key to a valued and strategic long term client partnership.
